PITCHING

Lead arm pull.
A common fault in pitching is scooping the ball, where a player attempts to lift the ball into the air rather than relying on the loft of the club to do its job. In this case, the weight tends to fall back, the lower body collapses and your chance of making a solid shot is unlikely.
Drill: Turn your wedge around and grip it in your lead hand only. Now make a few swings and you will feel how the lead arm pulls through towards the target line. Your weight will finish on the lead side as well.

Ball Flight Control
To get it close to the hole when inside of 80 meters may require different ball flights.
Without changing clubs all the time, you can simply manipulate your ball position.
Lower flight less spin: Place the ball back in your stance. This will help you deloft the club slightly and deliver a slightly lower ball flight and therefore more roll.
Higher flight more spin: Speed is your friend here. Place the ball forward in your stance. This will help you add loft to the club and slightly higher ball flight and therefore less roll.
